The Illinois Chamber of Commerce and The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, on behalf of disabilityworks, are proud to announce that a free summit will be offered at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel & Conference Center on September 9, 2009 from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.  The educational workshop directed to business will offer an opportunity for employers to learn the economic benefits of employing people with disabilities as well as reaching out to this customer base.  The workshop will address how the ADA definition of disability has expanded.  One out of every 5 people in the U.S. has a disability.  People with disabilities are not the largest minority and fastest growing population in the US .

With the mission to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities throughout Illinois , disabilityworks provides subject matter experts to advise businesses on how to hire, retain, and accommodate people with disabilities successfully.
