The Chamber Announces New Office Location
The Chamber Announces New Office Location   The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce offices will be relocating to 1011 S. Second Street in Springfield .  The Chamber recently signed a lease for the new location and will begin some minor remodeling, prior to relocating to the building.  Chamber staff is currently developing a timetable in which the move will be completed.    “The Chamber is excited about the new location and looks forward to remaining in the city's central business district,” said Gary Plummer, President and CEO.  “Although the new facility will only provide 10 percent more space, the efficiency of being on one level instead of three will have a big impact on our operation.”   The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce is focused on enhancing the business climate and promoting and stimulating economic development in Sangamon County for the benefit of its members and the community. The Quantum Growth Partnership (Q5) is an initiative by The Chamber, local governments, labor and business leaders, to build wealth, unity and prosperity in Sangamon County , with 4,500 new, retained and expanded jobs and $2.6 billion in wealth by 2012.
