Event Description: Event Title: That's Quite a Quilt! - How are quilts made and why do people make them? Learn about the rich history of quilts in Illinois through exciting activities, games, and examples from the Museum's collection. You might just leave saying, "That's quite a quilt!"
Super Saturdays offer free, thematic activities recommended for children ages 4-8. Activities are ongoing, take 30-40 minutes to complete, and feature take-home crafts. Registration is not required for this activity. For more information please call the education section at 217-782-6044.
Directions: The Illinois State Museum is located at 502 S. Spring Street (the corner of Spring and Edwards Streets) in Springfield, and is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Parking is available nearby, and the building is ADA accessible.
