Event Description: Event Title: Auld Abe Syne: an 1800s Holiday - December is a month full of holiday traditions, but what about those of Christmases past? Go back in time in APFD to learn of the different, old-fashioned traditions of the nineteenth century holidays.
Super Saturdays offer free, thematic activities recommended for children ages 4-8. Activities are ongoing, take 30-40 minutes to complete, and feature take-home crafts. Registration is not required for this activity. For more information please call the education section at 217-782-6044.
Directions: The Illinois State Museum is located at 502 S. Spring Street (the corner of Spring and Edwards Streets) in Springfield, and is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Parking is available nearby, and the building is ADA accessible.
